The Dark Night Returns

I didn't know what to expect from the Dark Night Returns. I know the hype was off the charts and with the directorial genius of Christopher Nolan, the intensity of Christian Bale and the legends who are Morgan Freeman and Sir Micheal Cane you are expecting a cinema event.

I was'nt the only one who felt that way because the cinema was packed to the rafters.

It was a thrill ride from start to finish and although it was 123 minutes long I honestly didn't want it to end. The grittyness, the life like parrallels to a kind of real world that he successfully convinces you could exist was amazing but he did have the budget equivalent to the GDP of a small nation to acheive it.

What would have completely blown my mind and made it to my all time top 20 movies would be Batman using his deductive skills as usual but kicking more bad guy ass. Christopher Nolans stance in keeping it real, has us seeing a weak and vunerable Bruce Wayne who due to lack of training and years of fighting Gothams criminals has exacted brutal injuries to his body. Although I know where he's coming from I missed the earlier incarnations where he was able to show his martial arts prowess ans well as his crime fighting genius.

Bane, what a villian. And that voice, damn. Some Gritty Darth Vader shit.
